The Sub-Junior category is intended for participants corresponding to LKG to Class V.
Junior
The Junior category is intended for participants corresponding to Class VI to Class X.
Senior
The Senior category is intended for participants corresponding to Class XI onwards, including college students, subject to the prescribed maximum age of 23 years.
Participants do not have to be currently studying in an educational institution to participate where they otherwise satisfy the applicable category eligibility.
The organizers may request proof of age, identity, class level or eligibility at any stage.
Providing false, misleading or inaccurate eligibility information may result in cancellation of registration or disqualification.

PATTERNS OF PUDUCHERRY
Participants will combine the traditional visual language of mehendi with patterns inspired by Puducherry. Inspiration may include nature, architecture, heritage motifs, the coastline, local traditions and other elements associated with the region.
Specific Rules
The design must be created during the competition.
The design must be created on single hand only.
Two mehendi cone only will be provided by the organisers.
Participants may either apply the mehendi artwork on their own hand or bring one person to serve as a hand model on whom the artwork may be applied.
The person accompanying the participant for this purpose must remain only as a model and may not provide any artistic assistance or input during the competition.
Pre-drawn, transferred or pre-designed work is prohibited.
The design must meaningfully relate to the theme.
The final work must be original.
All safety instructions must be followed.

ONLINE ELIGIBILITY CONDITION
The Online Drawing Competition is intended for participants outside Puducherry.
Residents of Puducherry are not eligible to participate in the Online Drawing Competition.
The organizers may request proof of residence or other documentation to verify eligibility.
ONLINE REGISTRATION
Online participants must complete registration through the separate official online registration process.
The online registration process and submission process may be different from the in-person competition.
The applicable online registration fee will be as stated in the official online registration form.
There is no fixed public registration cut-off date unless specifically announced by the organizers. Participants will be informed of the applicable registration/submission requirements when they contact or register through the official channels.
Registration fees are subject to the same refund provisions stated in these Terms & Conditions unless specifically stated otherwise.
ONLINE SUBMISSION
Participants must create the artwork specifically for ARTVERSE 2026.
Previously completed artwork is not permitted.
The participant must create the artwork independently.
Participants must submit a clear scanned image or clear digital photograph of the completed artwork.
The submitted image must meet the minimum resolution/quality requirements specified by the organizers.
Unclear, cropped, incomplete, illegible or poor-quality submissions may be rejected.
Participants must also provide a clear passport-size photograph as part of the required submission/verification process.
Participants must submit their artwork through the officially designated submission method within the stipulated submission period.
Late submissions may be rejected.
The organizers may request additional photographs, videos or other evidence of the artwork's creation process where necessary to verify originality.
ONLINE ORIGINALITY & CREATION
The artwork must be created by the registered participant.
Copying another person's work is prohibited.
Previously completed artwork is prohibited.
AI-generated or AI-assisted artwork is not permitted.
Participants may not submit another person's artwork under their own name.
The organizers may reject or disqualify submissions where the originality or authenticity of the work cannot reasonably be established.
The organizers' decision regarding authenticity and eligibility shall be final.
ONLINE RESULTS & DISPLAY
Results of the Online Drawing Competition may be announced through the official ARTVERSE website, social media channels or other official communication platforms.
Winning artworks may be displayed online as part of the official ARTVERSE results and promotional communication.
The organizers may retain copies of submitted winning and awarded artworks for documentation, exhibition and promotional purposes.
ONLINE PRIZE DISBURSEMENT
Prize winners may be required to submit valid bank account/payment details through a separate official bank-details submission process.
Where a cash prize is to be transferred:
Winners must provide accurate payment information.
The organizers will process the transfer within one week of receiving the required and valid payment details, subject to banking/payment processing requirements.
Incorrect, incomplete or invalid payment details may delay payment.
The organizers are not responsible for delays caused by incorrect information supplied by the winner or by banking/payment systems.

The organizers reserve the right to reasonably modify the schedule where circumstances require.
GENERAL RULES
Participation Limit: Each participant may register for a maximum of two in-person competition categories, consisting of one morning event and one afternoon event. Participation in an online competition, where separately eligible, is administered independently of this in-person limit.
Mandatory Reporting: All in-person participants must report to the venue at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start of their registered event. Participants in morning events must report by 9:00 AM, and participants in afternoon events must report by 2:00 PM. Participants are encouraged to arrive earlier to complete registration and verification without delay. Late arrival will not result in any extension of the competition time.
Valid Identification: Every participant must carry a valid government-issued ID or other officially accepted proof of identity and eligibility and must produce it whenever requested by the organizers. For participants whose eligibility depends on their class, age, or residence, appropriate supporting documentation may also be requested.
Eligibility Verification: Registration or payment does not by itself establish eligibility. The organizers may verify age, class, residence, identity, or any other eligibility requirement at registration, reporting, during the competition, or before prize distribution.
Category Selection: Participants must select their categories carefully at the time of registration. Category changes are not permitted after registration unless specifically authorized by the organizers.
Competition Time: Participants must complete their artwork within the officially allotted competition period. Late arrival, temporary absence, or other personal delays will not extend the participant's allotted time.
Attendance and Submission: Participants must remain available until their artwork has been properly submitted or collected as instructed by the organizers. Failure to submit an artwork within the prescribed procedure may be treated as non-participation.
Compliance: All participants must follow the official instructions of the organizers, coordinators, volunteers, judges, and venue authorities throughout the event. Failure to comply may result in removal from the event or disqualification.

REGISTRATION & PAYMENT
Registration must be completed through the official ARTVERSE registration process.
Spot registration is not permitted unless specifically announced.
Participants must provide accurate information.
Registration is confirmed only after successful payment and submission of required information.
Payment of a registration fee does not override the eligibility requirements.
The organizers may verify registration information at any stage.
Where a participant is found to be ineligible after registration, the organizers may cancel the registration.
REFUND & CATEGORY CHANGE POLICY
Registration fees are non-refundable, except in extraordinary circumstances at the discretion of the organizers.
Category changes after registration are not permitted.
If an event is postponed, the registration fee will ordinarily not be refunded.
In the event of cancellation, any refund will be considered by the organizers after taking into account the circumstances and expenses already incurred.
No refund will ordinarily be provided for:
Non-attendance
Late arrival
Voluntary withdrawal
Failure to submit work
Failure to participate
Disqualification
Failure to meet eligibility requirements due to incorrect information provided by the participant
MATERIALS
Only the base materials expressly identified for each category will be provided by the organizers.
Participants are responsible for bringing other permitted materials.
Participants should not expect additional materials beyond those announced.
All participant-supplied materials must comply with category rules and safety requirements.
The organizers may prohibit materials considered unsafe, inappropriate or inconsistent with the event.
REFERENCE MATERIALS & EXTERNAL ASSISTANCE
Unless expressly permitted for a particular category:
Participants may not use mobile phones.
Participants may not use books, photographs, printed images or other visual references.
Internet searches are prohibited during the competition.
Participants may not copy existing artwork.
Participants may not receive artistic assistance from parents, guardians, teachers, accompanying persons, volunteers, organizers or other participants.
Participants may not exchange artistic materials or assistance in a manner that compromises the fairness of the competition.
COMPETITION DURATION
Morning competitions: 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Afternoon competitions: 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM
Participants arriving late will not receive additional time.
Participants must stop working when the official competition period ends.
Completed works must be submitted according to the instructions of the event coordinators.
ORIGINALITY
All work must be original.

Copying another participant
Plagiarism
Reproducing an existing artwork without substantial original interpretation
Using pre-prepared artwork
Using substantially pre-assembled components where prohibited
Receiving unauthorized assistance
Submitting another person's work
Submitting previously created artwork
Using AI-generated or AI-assisted artwork in the online competition
The organizers may disqualify a submission if its originality is reasonably questioned or cannot be satisfactorily established.

PRIZES & AWARDS
Prizes may be provided as cash or as a gift, voucher, product or other award of equivalent stated value, entirely at the discretion of the organizers.
Where a prize is stated as having a particular monetary value, the stated amount represents the prize value and does not create an automatic right for the participant to demand cash.
The organizers may therefore provide either:
Cash equivalent to the stated amount; or
A gift, product, voucher or other award having the stated value.
The participant shall not have an automatic right to demand one particular form of award over another.

CONSOLATION AWARDS
Consolation awards are subject to the number specified for each category.
A consolation award is an award in its own right and does not automatically imply that the recipient has been ranked below or above another consolation recipient.
The organizers may determine the recipients according to the judging process and applicable category rules.
ARTWORK RETENTION & DISPLAY
Participants may collect their artwork after judging where applicable.
However, winning and consolation-awarded artworks may be retained by Annai Kalaikoodam for:

Participants acknowledge this condition by registering for the relevant competition.
For online competitions, submitted digital copies of winning and awarded artworks may be retained by the organizers for equivalent purposes.
CERTIFICATES
Certificates may be issued according to the category and award structure announced by ARTVERSE 2026.
The organizers reserve the right to determine the format, method and timing of certificate distribution.
Certificates may be withheld where a participant is disqualified or where eligibility or participation requirements have not been satisfactorily fulfilled.
ACCOMMODATION & TRAVEL
Accommodation is not provided unless specifically announced by the organizers.
Participants and accompanying persons are responsible for their own travel and accommodation.
The organizers are not responsible for costs incurred by participants or accompanying persons in connection with travel or accommodation.
CONDUCT & DISCIPLINE
Participants must:
Maintain proper conduct.
Follow organizer and coordinator instructions.
Respect other participants, volunteers, judges and venue personnel.
Maintain cleanliness.
Take reasonable care of venue property.
The following may result in removal or disqualification:
Misconduct
Harassment
Abusive behaviour
Cheating
Intentional disruption
Damage to property
Threatening or inappropriate behaviour
Failure to follow reasonable organizer instructions
SAFETY
Participants must use art materials and tools responsibly.
Unsafe materials or tools may be prohibited.
Participants must follow safety instructions.
The organizers may immediately restrict or remove materials considered hazardous.
PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEOGRAPHY
ARTVERSE 2026 may be photographed, filmed and documented for:
Event documentation
Promotional activities
Educational purposes
Archival purposes
Social media
Website and other official communication channels
Participants acknowledge that their participation may result in their image, voice or artwork appearing in ARTVERSE-related promotional or documentary material.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Participants retain their rights over their original work, subject to the specific provisions concerning artworks retained by the organizers.
By participating, participants grant Annai Kalaikoodam permission to photograph, reproduce, publish, display and use images of their artwork for:

Documentation
Exhibitions
Archives
Promotional material
Social media
Future ARTVERSE-related communication
This permission does not constitute a transfer of ownership of the participant's copyright in the artwork, except where a separate written agreement provides otherwise.
ONLINE PAYMENT & BANK DETAILS
For online prize winners who are required to receive a cash transfer:
Bank/payment details must be submitted through the official bank-details submission link provided by the organizers.
Participants are responsible for ensuring that the information submitted is accurate.

POSTPONEMENT, CANCELLATION & EVENT CHANGES
The organizers reserve the right to:

Modify an event
Modify operational procedures
Postpone an event
Cancel an event
Combine or restructure activities where reasonably necessary
Such changes may arise from circumstances including venue issues, public safety, weather, government restrictions, technical issues, insufficient participation, force majeure or other circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the organizers.
Where significant changes occur, the organizers will communicate them through official channels wherever reasonably practicable.
DISQUALIFICATION
A participant may be disqualified for:
Providing false or misleading information
Failing eligibility requirements
Violating category-specific rules
Using prohibited reference materials
Using pre-prepared artwork
Copying or plagiarism
Receiving unauthorized assistance
Using prohibited materials
Cheating
Misconduct
Disrupting the competition
Failure to follow organizer instructions
Submitting fraudulent or manipulated online evidence
Submitting another person's artwork
Submitting previously completed artwork
Using AI-generated or AI-assisted artwork where prohibited
Any action that compromises the fairness, safety or integrity of ARTVERSE 2026
Disqualification may result in:
Cancellation of participation
Withdrawal of certificates
Forfeiture of prizes
Removal from the venue
Rejection of the submitted artwork
Restriction from further participation where considered necessary
Where a prize has already been awarded and a violation is subsequently discovered, the organizers reserve the right to withdraw the award and request its return where reasonably applicable.
ORGANIZERS' AUTHORITY
The organizers reserve the right to interpret, clarify and implement these Terms & Conditions for the proper and fair conduct of ARTVERSE 2026.
Any matter not specifically addressed in these Terms & Conditions shall be determined by the organizers.
The organizers' decisions concerning event administration, eligibility, registration, rule interpretation, disqualification, prize administration, refunds and operational matters shall be final.
The judges' decisions concerning artistic evaluation and judging shall be final.
The organizers may take any reasonable action necessary to protect the fairness, safety, integrity and proper functioning of the competition.
ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
Registration and participation in ARTVERSE 2026 constitute acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
Participants and, where applicable, their parents or guardians are expected to read and understand the rules before completing registration.
By completing registration, the participant confirms that the information provided is accurate and agrees to abide by the rules, procedures and decisions applicable to ARTVERSE 2026.
